- When the new record book comes out in January, Ben Johnson,
- who lost his 1988 Olympic gold medal for using anabolic
- steroids, will not be listed as the world's fastest human. Last
- week authorities stripped the Canadian runner of his record
- times in three earlier events after he admitted using the drug
- since 1981. He is, however, still a contender. Johnson, says his
- attorney Edward Futerman, wants to "run again and win clean."
- For now, his 100-meter-dash crown goes to Carl Lewis.
